Firing half the staff at the Department of Education and decimating the Office for Civil Rights harms the students who need protection the most: low-income children, LGBTQ+ students, children with disabilities, and minority students.
The House just passed a funding plan that slashes vital programs for women, children, and families β while adding $10B to expand immigrant detention, including for families. This is a moral failure.
The Senate must reject this harmful bill and push for a bipartisan deal that supports all families.

VICTORY! Last week, our volunteers rallied at the Colorado State Capitol, calling on lawmakers to reject a bill that would have repealed the stateβs firearm dealer licensing law, passed just last year to help prevent firearm trafficking and ensure Colorado gun dealers behave responsibly.
