After urging Republicans to make health care a central issue in midterm campaigns, Pres. Trump gave the issue only passing mention in his record-long State of the Union speech.
“Trump doesn’t really care that much about health care. He finds it complicated," says @sherylnyt.bsky.social🎧⤵️
After DEMANDING that Hillary Clinton's testimony on the Epstein scandal be held behind closed doors, and even threatening her with contempt for her insistence that reporters be allowed in, the GOP has been sending out photos and info to far-right influencers.
Hypocrisy is the GOP brand.
The richest man owns X.
The second and third richest men control Google.
The fourth richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
The fifth richest man owns The Washington Post.
And now the sixth richest could soon take over both Paramount and Warner Bros.

Jesse Ventura may be radical in some of his views but he is a true patriot. I'll stand behind Ventura any day.

Tony Campolo exposed this in Christians 40 years ago. Far more concerned about “bad” words than the loss of human life. Not even close.

"Are you having chest pain? Your child can’t breathe? Call 9-1-1. But, who will respond? In Idaho, first-responder units are struggling."
That’s how bad things are
Idaho also has a large number of volunteer EMTs, who give hours of their time to help their communities. True heroes, all of them! wapo.st/40KAcNJ
Insanity…
It's often presented as a kind of conformity or groupthink to "trust the experts," but you do in fact need to do this to have a functioning society!
What is the alternative? Every person researches every single issue of public concern themselves?
This house is a whole vibe. So cute! Love the use of cabinet shelves on the patio. (I'm not a Realtor. Not my house. I'm just someone who browses the new listings.)
"Despite its low profile, AmeriCorps has had steady support among Democrats and Republicans. Leaders from both parties have historically viewed the program as an effective way to strengthen communities."
Official CBO analysis confirms the obvious: House Republican tax and budget bill isn't shared sacrifice.
It makes poor people poorer and rich people richer. It does this by cutting health care & nutrition to help finance tax cuts skewed to the wealthy.

Cost-cutting tactics The secret bonuses were just one of many maneuvers UnitedHealth devised to track and cut expenses in its nursing home initiative. Internal emails show, for example, that UnitedHealth supervisors gave their teams “budgets” showing how many hospital admissions they had “left” to use up on nursing home patients. The company also monitored nursing homes that had smaller numbers of patients with “do not resuscitate” – or DNR – and “do not intubate” orders in their files. Without such orders, patients are in line for certain life-saving treatments that might lead to costly hospital stays. Two current and three former UnitedHealth nurse practitioners told the Guardian that UnitedHealth managers pressed nurse practitioners to persuade Medicare Advantage members to change their “code status” to DNR even when patients had clearly expressed a desire that all available treatments be used to keep them alive.
UnitedHealth secretly pressured nurses to change patients' records to include DNRs (Do Not Resuscitate) without their consent, so those patients would die instead of being saved with medical interventions that could cost UnitedHealth money.
This is murder.

So the guy who is chain-sawing his way through the federal government and firing people willy-nilly to save the taxpayers a buck or two is also the CEO of an electric car company that wouldn't be able to stay in business without a steady diet of massive tax subsidies. Do I have that right?
Today House Republicans, cheered on by the richest person on Earth, passed a budget framework that will cut support for the poorest people in our country.
All while cutting taxes for corporations and the wealthy, and massively increasing the deficit.
Wild story by @ryansuppe.bsky.social:
Rep. Barbara Ehardt, an Idaho Falls Republican who has long opposed DEI, said she had received text messages from people “at the universities” who supported Senate Bill 1198.
“I’m gonna delete (them),” Ehardt said with a laugh. #idleg #idpol
America. Where women can die from a miscarriage and kids can die from measles.
Republicans: after years of whining about dark-money billionaires puppeteering our political system, what do you have to say about Elon Musk buying the Presidency - and now the Wisconsin Supreme Court?
