A Cybertruck owner in Texas is suing Tesla for $1,000,000 in damages for “ grossly negligent conduct” following an accident on a Houston highway that involved the vehicle’s self-driving feature. Here's the dashcam video.

Quittr, an app that promises to help men stop watching porn, leaked intimate data on hundreds of thousands of its users, and lied about its security issues, 404 Media can now reveal. @evystadium.bsky.social has more.

A DOGE staffer assigned to the National Endowment for the Humanities to flag grants for "DEI" tries to explain what "DEI" is. This deposition is part of a lawsuit by the @acls1919.bsky.social, @historians.org and @modernlanguage.bsky.social.
these kids are making Ferrari money telling people to use their app in order to stop watching porn, but they exposed their most intimate data and then lied to me about it www.404media.co/viral-quittr...

There’s no handbook or program for how to talk to a friend or family member who is falling into AI psychosis. So after many people contacted us clearly suffering from these delusions, we spoke to mental health experts. Here’s what they suggest: www.404media.co/ai-psychosis...

thank u @mjgault.bsky.social for suffering through the ai slop freedom truck so i could layer tuba music under it
I know, I just thought his appearance here on a wall with Steve Jobs is funny. Most people do not remember him and school children will have never heard of him.
It's a very specific Nixon-era conservative beef
I have such sights to show you
I did a double take as I walked by the wall of American heroes. Who did I see Nestled between Frank Lloyd Wright and Norman Rockwell?
A small note near the floor at the exit of the truck notes the collaboration of PragerU and Hillsdale College, and claims that “neither institution received any federal funds and both generously contributed their own resources to help create this educational exhibit.” It also said “this truck was made possible through a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services,” which is, of course, a federal agency. Every AI-generated video ended with a title card showing the White House and PragerU’s logo. “The White House is grateful for the partnership with PragerU and the US Department of Education for the production of this museum,” the card said. “This partnership does not constitute or imply a US Government or US Department of Education endorsement of PragerU.”
an enduring part of this administration, I feel, is sullying anything it can't destroy
Other than the lazy AI generated videos, the Freedom Truck doesn’t have much to offer. I signed a digital copy of the Declaration of Independence on a touchscreen and took a quiz that asked leading questions designed to find out if I was a “loyalist or patriot.” “The British Army sends soldiers to Boston. How do you react?” Answer 1: “View them as occupiers violating colonial liberty.” Answer 2: “Welcome them as defenders of law and order.” With ICE and the National Guard patrolling American cities, I wondered how supporters of the current administration would answer that one.
it was a very odd bus to me in just now
good morning. I got an early preview of the AI slop founding fathers PragerU is taking on tour across the country
moments like this I realize that no amount of "This place is not a place of honor" messages on nuclear waste sites will stop whoever comes along next from digging right in
With a new movie on Netflix called War Machine, I recommend the OTHER movie on Netflix called War Machine, which is a shockingly accurate adaptation of Michael Hastings' definitive book on war in Afghanistan/Stanley McChrystal, THE OPERATORS. Pitt is a bit broad in it, but good movie.
The gig economy -> the surveillance economy -> the depravity economy....
It's all just the same economy. This is how our economy works. It's all just capitalism and the only fix is going to come from acknowledging the system doesn't work.
The recent submarine torpedoing of an Iranian navy frigate in the Indian Ocean was likely carried out by a Pearl Harbor-based fast-attack submarine. And it definitely took place in INDOPACOM's area of operation as the war spreads in scope.

“THEY’VE GOT A TECHNICAL!”
Peel back the bravado and displays of male dominance and you see a rotting regime creating global chaos.
This week, for DOOMSDAY MACHINES: A dive into the military imagination of full-scale nuclear war, drawn up while the embers of World War II were still warm… doomsdaymachines.net/p/it-is-obvi...
There are about 20 of these photos. Just FYI

So there is a story about the "top 10 cities at risk during nuclear war" circulating in various tabloids/etc. with my name attached to it, and I will say that a) I never have (nor would) make such a list at all, and b) I never said any of the quotes attributed to me in the article.
This may sound insane but I can't help but see 15 years of unregulated Counter Strike connected child casinos as setting a dark precedent a lot of people ignored
I think one of the most staggering industry shifts in my 16 years as a tech reporter is that it’s not become a question of “should our product help the government kill and/or surveil people?” but “to what extent?”
