2025 was mostly used on ruminating behind the scenes and overpowering my uploading anxiety. it sounds strange coming from an artist who only draws ocs, but i have a hard time being fully self indulgent and sharing it.
in 2026 i will be better! ⭐

a front cover-esque illustration for the first anniversary of a story called '1951' that i am roleplaying/writing with my friend @rapturessaviour.bsky.social The image features a center art-deco-like golden frame, adorned in various fish, with a rose and blue butterfly at the top. Inside the frame are three scenes featuring the same couple, the characters Colin (brunette) and Fenneden (blonde). The top scene is them in masquerade outfits, dancing in front of a giant view into the turqouise bottom of the ocean that colors them so. The middle has them holding each other as well as the golden frame, their faces intimately close. Blue light hits them from the back, a warm orangey red lighting up their faces. The bottom scene has the two sitting down, Fenneden with a slice of red relvet cake on a plate, Colin with a book resting on his thigh. The blonde holds a fork ahead of the face of the brunette who, intentionally, has cream cheese on his nose. A quick elevator pitch of the plot in case you're curious: "In the underwater city of Rapture, the tailor Fenneden Fergus picks out the amnesiac pianist Colin Faust as his next muse for an ongoing sick desire, under the guise of 'Romance.' Colin quickly falls under the spell, the proces of affection simultaniously triggering long-lost memories, revealing the musician's true brutal nature. Secretly a homicidal maniac, Fenneden is the one person eagerly delighted by what he uncovers in Colin, causing him to suddenly feel DIFFERENTLY towards this subject compared to his usual ones. Slowly, they pull each other away from each of their initial hoped outcomes, love and death, and meet somewhere in the middle."

drawing of my characters (left to right) Park, Boris, Aiden & Cassidy, all suited up and arranged in the colors of the asexual flag so, in case you didnt know, im on the asexual spectrum, as i identify as aroace. i used to be very ashamed, as most ace circles unfortunately have a very black and white thinking... and i understand why that occurs. but asexuality is a spectrum, and its very important to remember that. my GOD do i hate the stereotype of all of us being goth sourpuss introverts that despise human interaction as a whole... while those people certainly exist, its important to remember that ace people come in every shape, color and size, just like everyone else. and because of that, i thought id celebrate the ace spectrum a little. so if you're unaware, these four are on the ace spectrum as well. And although i secretly really despise the colors of the asexual flag, i cant deny that the tone/hues of these character's hair perfectly aligns with the ace flag, and i had to jump on it. and they couldn't be more different types of people either! i could go into detail about that but thats what my character bios are for... for specifics in terms of where they land on the ace spectrum however... Park and Boris are both aroace. Park is definitely sex repulsed, and also kind of repulsed by romance. These traits mostly stem from trauma. Meanwhile, Boris is mostly indifferent. He sees intimacy as a tool for manipulation and power, therefore has a hard time responding to it in a traditional sense, though it isn't impossible. Aiden is demisexual, and very polyamorous. He is a hopeless romantic and LOVES the puppy love stage, but its difficult to get to his core, such is why his many flings usually don't last very long. But he has a base with his partners that he always comes back to. Cassidy mostly just wears the asexual label. She is somewhat indifferent, but less so than Boris, much prefering other types of intimacy if possible.

He carries a pole with a large, long transgender flag. The wolves around him are rabid, their eyes glowing menacingly, their mouths drooling in hunger. Above them, a blue and pink sun is arising. description: tho i am genderfluid, i dont use the trans label, HOWEVER.... ive never met a trans person that wasn't awesome, and i adore and am inspired by my trans friends, peers and mutuals, forever and ever. i will defend you and your rights till the day i die. this piece is in honor of you. the character pictured, Rasha, is also trans!!! and though i don't often express anger with him, here, i wanted to show im pissed off, and ready to fight because damnit he's bein tested with everything that's going on... one could deduce this to be about fending off bigotry, the wolves resembling rabid injustice - and ill definitely take that. but, if you know rasha at all, you'll know a wolf/dog is his representative animal, and i often display him as a wolf or with wolves by his side. so, my starting point was actually for this to be about the internalized struggle. rasha himself resembles the colorful desire to be who he truly is, and the wolves are also him, but they are just the learned instincts of fitting in, laying low and conforming. the 'inner trained dogs...' they are programmed to attack what is different in order to protect from harm, because lord knows how painful it can be to be yourself. but now, he must eradicate those coping mechanisms, as much as they mean to defend. because a better, more vibrant life lies ahead.
