Yup. I still want to write one, as one of the very few things left on my bucket list, but I'll do it for that reason rather than for income - if I ever get a round tuit. 😉

More like over 10 million. That's more (often much more) than most people make in a lifetime. It's more than anyone, and I mean ANYONE, needs to make in a single year. They can contribute the rest to society.

I wouldn't do that, just as I don't mention it to cashiers and teachers and lots of folks who do essential and wonderful things and get paid for crap because of the things our society values.

I wanted to be careful to at least try to not offend. Many folks get touchy when discussing income.

Not to brag or be rude, but I made more than all but the top tier novelists by being a technical writer who can also program. That is a weirdly rare thing, as it happens.
