Also the implication that collecting lots of data is a hack to get more citations is bizarre. If your paper gets cited because you collected data that was valuable to other researchers, well that's like the whole point of publishing isn't it?

To add, asphyxiation by inert gas is more dangerous than by other means. When you breathe in pure nitrogen it sucks oxygen backwards out of your blood, meaning that you suffocate faster than if you were holding your breath.

I'm not a tech expert but my experience with custom PCs is that bitcoin miners are a major customer base and they like stuff that is cheap and powerful and they don't mind replacing parts every 6 months. It's possible one of those is designed for that purpose and I would say to get the other one
