What are we supposed to do as streamers and people who run communities? There are no decent Discord alternatives and people won't want to switch. This is not good.

Discord requiring ID is BAD. They had a data breach just four months ago. These apps and social media websites are coming after our privacy. Please do not give any of them your ID if you don't want your data stolen. This is only the beginning.

Discord TO age-Gate features unless Users Scan Their Face or Provide ID

Starting in March, Discord will set all users to a “teen-appropriate” setting by default, restricting access to features like age-restricted servers and stage channels, while censoring anything that Discord deems sensitive.

To unlock your account, users will have to submit a face scan or photo ID.
