That Deputy Head of Clinical Engineering has faced no legal or professional consequences for her behaviour.

The Deputy Head of Clinical Engineering in the Royal Berkshire Hospital was the prime cause of my suicide attempt.

The NHS staff within HR and Occupational Health know. As do NHS staff within the Berkshire Health Foundation Trust.

The Dept. Head of Clin. Eng. has faced no legal consequences.

All I can can is I spent 1/2 my life high-functioning & working in disability rehab. Then when through a 4year hellish wirlwind I and no-one else can describe or comprehend .. and now I am somehow disabled and autistic.

I am still alive. And whilst I am, and with every breath I can, I ask every NHS person I meet if they have had the training.

A small fraction of what I experienced when I was driven by the @hcpc.bsky.social call mid-pandemic for staff to return to the NHS.

I had another phone call this week from someone employed with the Royal Berkshire Hospital who was scared of going to work.

They worked up through IT into data security.

Their manager worked up through supervision into management.

I used the #ftsu whilstleblowing policy to call out a dysfunctional dept. including a manager shouting at suidical NHS staff.

Despite support from local charities and churches the Trust CEO refused to meet me and has since been promoted.

Can someone make the upside down make sense?

I stood up to a Deputy Head of Clinical Engineering in the Royal Berkshire Hospital for her aggressive behaviour towards staff who told me they felt suicidal. I will not name her. I will not aplogise. The Trust however have chosen to support her.

I do not and have never felt it was right for someone employed as a risk manager in the NHS to shout at suicidal staff.

But that is what is considered morally ok in the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

I 'voluntarily' admitted myself. Then spent three months praying that someone would come and get me out.

The first few weeks I honestly deep down believed I was locked in for life.

If you are autistic or suspect you are stay the f away from mental health hospitals.

If there were a simple solution, it is this, and I write this with painful experience.

If you love someone, and they are in psychiatric hospital, go and get them out, and love them.

And keep loving them until whatever compelled their interaction with a mental heath hospital is a distant memory.

Did you talk about the serious patient safety concerns I raised using 'Freedom to Speak Up'? Or the toxic culture in that Trust that led to my suicide attempt? And the hundreds of others around Reading who were forced into extreme hardship?

How do you heal from healthcare-related cPTSD in the UK when the organisation you are being told to turn to is the one that caused cPTSD? This is not a rhetorical question.

One of my mentors was a man who alerted the then Ministry for Health about a rapid growth in physical abnormalities .. that led to the identification of the 'Thalidamide crisis'. Some of his work is in the @sciencemuseum.org.uk. He gave me his lecture slides .. handing a legacy.

I feel alone in my belief that managers bullying suicidal staff in the NHS is wrong.

No-one in the @royalberkshospital.bsky.social Trust has acknowledged that very basic aspect of human morality.

Whilst bullying within NHS Trusts like the @royalberkshospital.bsky.social is known about and accepted as a feature of cultural toxicity.

It remains morally wrong. Morally corrupt.
