Wanted to share the update from a local reporter via Facebook. Ed and his companions will be going to someplace better for them. 😊

There are indeed a lack of large animal vets. Especially in middle Tennessee which is half urban/suburban and half still very rural with many farms and livestock.

According to reporters, there was supposed to be a vet on the chopper. Unclear if that happened or not. Here's the best reporting from Nick Beres at news channel 5 via Facebook

It's so obviously done on purpose. They don't want the media to show the crimes they're committing.

I don't think they should be pets but zebras are legal in Tennessee. We locals have had great (and good) fun following Ed's adventures. I'm glad he's okay.

They tried to corral him for days and he wasn't having it. The chopper was supposed to be for a tranq shot then move him to a truck. They ditched the tranq (don't know why) and went with a net and airlift instead.

The owners have 2 other zebras as well

Slow walk it, pass the buck where possible (eg I requested a needed doc from Joe, waiting on his response), and blame gov policies (eg the data used to determine this has been removed from gov websites and I am unable to assist).

The question is: will men be required to take menstrual classes too?

Because we all know it's men who think ectopic pregnancies are viable or that a woman can "shut down" pregnancy from rape... 🙄

I know it's not ethical and just wrong, but I really wish vumc would refuse to treat her after this. I bet she'd change her tune when she needed expert or life saving care only vumc can provide in this area.
