Acck! I can't even find it on HBO anymore!
Oof. π
Hah! Did they have to do an abrupt "were cancelled" adding or was it never planned for more than two seasons? I probably just need to knuckle down and watch it. I hate not finishing a show, especially one only two seasons.
I thought season 1 was fantastic until they pulled that ending which threw me for a loop. Is season 2 worth it?
Bravo! You should be proud!
Today is the day to repost this meme about International Men's Day, one of the most unironically wholesome memes that has ever been made.
Shoutout to all my fellow champs, chiefs, and kings. β
Excuse me while I turn to dust and blow away... www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDc0...
Wait, that one IS a colecovison game? But the one I remember was puzzles and fixing the discovery, not text based?
I had no idea there was a 2010 TEXT adventure game. Only one I remember was on the Colecovision.
Dang, Cameron painted that 2001 image? Impressive. I knew the guy could write, direct, and engineer, but didn't know he could paint/draw.
Also the pre-processing thing you mentioned above, was that part of your script that changed the color of the nodes? Assuming you have to run it manually whenever you want to check the nodes, it's not something you can tell articy to constantly be checking for?
I'll be releasing the latest version of my html preview app in another month or so. Once I do that, I'll probably turn my attention back to more in editor quality of life things like you mentioned above.
Yeah, the program has a lot of great stuff going for it, but there is also some simple stuff that would be huge time savers that they just haven't put in despite me, you, and I presume many others asking.
This news makes me so happy. deadline.com/2025/06/spac... #maytheschwartzbewithyou #Spaceballs
It's true.
Y'all I've been lucky enough to play this game a bunch, and it takes the RTS/Strategy genre in some really cool, exciting new directions! Go check it out!
An always-reskeet for me. (Not just because of the message, but because the animationβs nice work.) π
I recently raved about playing Coffee Stain's #satisfactory game to a non-gamer friend, went something like this:
Looking forward to heading out to GDC next week and catching up with folks IRL! For those of you on the sky app I haven't met yet, if y'all want to talk narrative/game design, hit me up!
Genes-games (stupid auto correct)
I'm still crushed by the plot twist with Hobbes in the genes. Noooooo!
I don't think that's a bug, it's a feature to prevent brain overload.
I love this show so much! It fused the 80s action hero with a decent, progressive dude, but still kept all the over the top cheese and one liners.
One of my fav lines from season two:
"That means the bad guys are coming after us"
Reacher:
-Stone cold stare-
"Good."
*Chef's kiss*
This is very exciting. Wing Commander fans in particular might want to take a closer look at Stars Reach: Raph Koster was once the lead designer on Privateer Online!
Every day I say, "Surely the industry bloodletting has run its course." Also, every day I remind myself I'm a naive idiot.
On the topic of space games focused on the ships, Have y'all played Cosmoteer? Crazy fun and highly recommended: store.steampowered.com/app/799600/C...
Ah.... the classic game design mistake that can tank even the most sure fire of blockbuster hits. #gamedev #narrativedesign #commentsamiright #steam #squidsneedlovetoo
Don't sleep on this one y'all, cause Overboard was a great slice of narrative crime capers! And if you haven't played Overboard yet, what the heck are you waiting for??
Cover art for Ma Vie en Rogue by Ultima and Origin Systems artist Denis Loubet. A woman in an elegant golden dress, tattered and muddy along the hem from her travails, descends a dungeon stairway escaping one peril only to encounter another: A wizard opening a portal to a strange future world. Her intrepid feline companion, based on the calico cat named Amber, trots by her side, on the lookout for even more dangers. The woman is carrying a sword and a lantern, with a bag slung over her shoulder out of which fly pages of a journal. The wizardβs own familiar, a shadowy black cat, peers out from the darkness with glowing eyes. Bats scatter overhead as the scene unfolds amidst broken-down architecture in the gloomy, dusty cavern.
As you may know, my wife is making a roguelike game! Legendary Ultima artist Denis Loubet has done the cover art and so we are closing the Kickstarter to late pledges next week. Last chance to be assured loot like a metal ankh, SIGNED Loubet print and cloth map!
