His party invited the Israeli president to come to Australia to "comfort" local Jews.
Linking the actions of the Israeli government to local Jews is essentially ALP policy at this point, at least when it suits them.

The more likely outcome is that the moronic puppet dies of old age and the slightly less stupid and significantly more fascist enablers take over officially.
Cutting taxes is the wrong approach. It won't help anyone too poor to pay taxes, provides no new security, and would only add to Republicans' ability to demonize everyone who isn't a taxpayer. It would weaken every program. Instead, we should do universal basic income and higher taxes on the rich.
I donβt think Trump and his people are capable of engineering βdistractions,β I think the mind-numbing chaos we see every day is straightforwardly the result of giving the dumbest, cruelest, most corrupt, most selfish people of a generation near-unmitigated power
No. Americans love this war. They have been loving versions of it for the best part of a century. They would just prefer to not have to suffer any consequences for that. Sadly for them, they are suffering consequences for that. So sad, drive me a river.
It totally is America's war. America has been funding Israel and undermining Iran for decades now. America props up numerous dictators in the Middle East. America voted for Trump. Twice. Don't you dare write this off as some one man aberration. Trump is America and you all own it.
Bibi and Donald climbing the Escherian Stairwell.
Pretty serious allegation here. "Witnesses told the BBC that the Israeli soldiers had arrived disguised in Lebanese military fatigues and used ambulances with signs of Hezbollah's Islamic Health Organization."

I see what you did there. You're talking about the Supreme Court, aren't you.
Interesting. And yet it is Republicans who are to blame for open carry, very little paid family leave, hardly any free school meals, and virtually no universal pre-kindergarten. Who'd have guessed?
Currently 17 states are considered to be either solid or lean Democrat. I think you can probably guess where this is going...
There's something deeply obscene and broken about the fact that Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are bombing elementary schools in an illegal war of aggression, and there's still a sense among the opposition that it has to be explained in terms of gas prices in order to get American voters to care.
Article 57(2) of Additional Protocol I of the Geneva Conventions With respect to attacks, the following precautions shall be taken: (a) those who plan or decide upon an attack shall: (i) do everything feasible to verify that the objectives to be attacked are neither civilians nor civilian objects and are not subject to special protection but are military objectives within the meaning of paragraph 2 of Article 52 and that it is not prohibited by the provisions of this Protocol to attack them; (ii) take all feasible precautions in the choice of means and methods of attack with a view to avoiding, and in any event to minimizing, incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians and damage to civilian objects; (iii) refrain from deciding to launch any attack which may be expected to cause incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, damage to civilian objects, or a combination thereof, which would be excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated;
even if an oil facility is a military objective, the US/Israel *must* avoid "any attack which may be expected to cause incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, damage to civilian objects...which would be excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated"

Two veteran journalists produced a documentary that showed evidence of war crimes in Gaza. But the BBC refused to air the film. Why?
Or we could just tax extreme wealth out of existence and eliminate corporate personhood. Enough of this tinkering around the margins.
It's a version of white supremacy. They see everyone not of God's chosen race as inherently unworthy and inferior. Also, they have lived their entire lives as the beneficiaries of an apartheid system, and as such see entitlement as their just due the same way white southerners thought of slaves.
The honest answer is that most people feel powerless, or don't care about anything beyond their next TV program, or they're being told constantly by politicians and the media that they are the good guys and, by definition, can do no wrong.
The IDF killed 41 people in Lebanon while trying (unsuccessfully) to recover the remains of an airman shot down 40 years ago.

Yair Lapid @yairlapid X.com β’ Translated from Hebrew by Grok Israel must destroy all of Iran's oil fields and energy industry on Kharg Island; that is what will cripple Iran's economy and topple the regime. This war must end when the regime in Iran has fallen, the nuclear facilities have been destroyed, all of the ballistic missile industry has been destroyed, and Hezbollah has been destroyed in Lebanon. i am begging median democrats to think more than one term in advance. it's not enough to elect the right person once. you cannot defeat fascism through polite discussion, and no ground you cede will be enough to stop them demanding more. you *cannot* tolerate intolerance, it always spreads.

They're not designed to deal with a far right authoritarian party, they're designed to promote it.
You're going to need to vote out a fair few Democrats as well.
Once upon a time, the ALP actually had policies, rather than just waiting around for the policies to be given them by corporations and the Murdoch press.
