Remarkable work by David Sbarra and colleagues showing that loneliness may actually cause depression. We don't have a great sense of what to do about it yet, but hopefully this strengthens calls for a more rigorous and well-funded research agenda on loneliness. #PsychSciSky #AcademicSky
