If you're living somewhere outside the USA, one thing you can do is pressure your leaders to boycott World Cup and Olympic events here.
A tree and a forest spirit rendered in flowing lines, white silhouettes against a simple palette of greens and blues. The background is richly textured, suggestive of tall trees, pitted boulders, and hair unfurling into mist.

A portrait made with boldly colored and patterned paper, framed by felt plants. A girl wearing large, rose-colored glasses blows a big bubble of gum. Her hair is up in high pigtails, with ties down the length sectioning off large bubbles of hair.

3 years ago i was attempting nanowrimo + broke 10k in a project for the first time in years. + i distinctly remember thinking "i hope i can figure out how to write short fiction next year". glad i trusted the process !!!!
big lesson this yr has been enjoying feeling like a "beginner"/the start of something. this yr i had a lot of impostor syndrome at how "little" i've done. remembered i only started writing properly 3 years ago. i've done a lot in 3 years but also so excited to see what the rest of the years are like
acceptance today for my favourite flash fiction piece i've written this year!! excited to share my gay girls + the funfair they work at πͺπΏ
my fave part of editing flash fiction has to be that space where you wonder if there's any more you can get rid of and then in the next pass you cut at least 100 words
+ everything that happened/is still happening in the time it took to make that piece of paper happen...the pandemic, gender transition, my mom's cancer...very proud of myself but also 2018 me would be soooo confused
v weird getting your degree delivered in the mail. all of that just for this piece of paper
told myself i would catch up with nanowrimo today so instead i edited and submitted a flash piece
beautiful day to join bsky.....attempting to write 5k words for nano today π₯΄π₯΄
