Not listening to his father and staying in Kirkwall for sure. Sneaking out and trying to follow Fenris got him abducted & dragged to Tevinter & kept him from seeing his parents again for nearly six years. Ah, what could have been.

I’ll get into it more in my fic, but leaving his clan unprotected after Trespasser turned out to be a pretty big misstep for him as well.
