Her thesis presents studies exploring decisions in kidney transplantation, and tools to assist with decision making and the development of a risk prediction model to predict survival and quality of life after transplantation. /2
Huge congratulations to @tregaustralia.bsky.social's @georginairish.bsky.social who has just been awarded her PhD titled "Decision making in Kidney Transplantation" /1
Excited to share our publication in Kidney International Reports with thanks to @georginairish.bsky.social @philclayton.bsky.social

Alan Xu presenting his work on long term graft function and patient survival in kidney donation after circulatory death compared to neurological determination of death donation.
He found similar long term patient and graft survival between groups. DCD donors had higher rates of rejection.
@tregaustralia.bsky.social at #WTC2025
@lachlanmcmichael.bsky.social outlining variations in access to living donor kidney transplantation in Australia & New Zealand π¦πΊπ³πΏ
25% of referral regions are performing above the expected number of LD transplants and 25% below for patients starting KRT.
Alessandra Orsillo presenting at European Society for Organ Transplantation conference in London today #ESOT25
She discussed the impacts of donor and recipient #diabetes on patient and graft #survival in #kidney #transplant recipients.

Congratulations to Alison Weightman for winning a poster prize π at the 2025 TSANZ ASM π
Her poster looked at nephrologist perspectives on information sharing with recipients during deceased donor kidney transplant offers
Alan Xu presenting on outcome differences between DNDD and DCDD donors in Australia & New Zealand. He identified similar long term graft survival but a higher risk of rejection. @georginairish.bsky.social @philclayton.bsky.social @anzdataregistry.bsky.social
@philclayton.bsky.social presenting the new HLA matchability score as part of the proposed new kidney allocation system demonstrating improvement in equity @tsanz.bsky.social @anzdataregistry.bsky.social
@lachlanmcmichael.bsky.social discussing comparisons between Australia and the UK on incident kidney replacement therapy @tsanz.bsky.social @anzdataregistry.bsky.social
@lachlanmcmichael.bsky.social presenting his first of two talks at @tsanz.bsky.social exploring variation in living donor referral in Australia and New Zealand @anzdataregistry.bsky.social

@lachlanmcmichael.bsky.social kicking off the @tsanz.bsky.social Transplant ID day with a panel discussion of donor infection risk
Thank you to #ERA25 for the opportunity to present work on kidney transplant waitlisting
Exciting work demonstrating the association with early graft function and long term outcomes
Congratulations to our own @lachlanmcmichael.bsky.social for receiving a poster award at Australiaβs Donation and Transplantation conference! πππ
@philclayton.bsky.social @georginairish.bsky.social outlining data on the use of kidneys from deceased donors with diabetes and risk scores in kidney transplant allocation
Beautiful demonstration of the use of epi data to support policy decisions. The simulations underpinning this new system were supported by @tregaustralia.bsky.social
(There is also a cute koala so whatβs not to love?)
