I'm not over here enough. Was reminded of friends I miss today! I hope you'll celebrate with me, on my wedding anniversary, and my Confirmation at Easter Vigil this evening.

I'm incredibly grateful that my church's Catholic worship includes so many Protestant hymns. It's a fusion I appreciate as I near confirmation.

Enjoying both, and finding some themes.

One of many lessons I see repeated in the Old Testament; God uses those he chooses in spite of their transgressions. By grace, he looks beyond our wrongdoings, and invites us to partner in redemptive work.

My friendship with Phoebe is a treasure to me. Her new book is my Lent read in 2025.

I'm thrilled when a friend who I know to be a certain Christian tradition mentions areas of strength found in another tradition.

We all get some of faith right. We all need grace.

The new year always has me reflecting. What's on my wish list this year? Simplicity. Long periods of worship. A slow and less-burdened walk with Jesus.

It does feel like a lightened load to leave a lot of the extra behind. Trying to not take on much Catholic baggage too, of course.
