Either incredibly lucky/prescient or very smelly/corrupt. I suspect the latter.

David Pogue reveals why Tim Cook wouldn't be interviewed for his book As part of promoting his new book, "Apple: The First 50 Years," author David Pogue spoke to the AppleInsider Podcast about writing it and just what Apple itself would and would not do to help.

Apple at 50. Fascinating book project:

β€œSo Samsung started out as a dried fish company, Nokia began as a paper mill. You know, Apple started out simplifying complex technology in order to sell it to the masses. And that is exactly what they still do.”

🚨 BREAKING: Tesla's "Unsupervised Robotaxis" (no safety drivers) were cut from 8 to 4.

Only 1 is in service while the others aren't operating.

"Supervised Robotaxis", with safety drivers had 14 crashes & are 4x less safe than humans.

Why launch the Cybercab if FSD isn't working properly?

To the "I didn't vote for this" folks. You voted for a convicted felon. A twice-impeached president. A man found liable for sexual abuse, who tried to overthrow an election. And now gas prices are surging, we're at war, and soldiers are coming home in coffins. This is what you voted for. All of it.

Musk confirms xAI-Tesla joint 'Digital Optimus' project β€” after saying Tesla didn't need xAI Elon Musk announced Digital Optimus, a joint xAI-Tesla AI project, contradicting his 2024 claim that Tesla had 'no need' for xAI β€” amid an ongoing breach of fiduciary duty lawsuit.

Liar, liar… On brand: for Tesla:

β€œThe announcement directly contradicts Musk’s own September 2024 statement that Tesla had β€œNO NEED to license anything from xAI”, and it lands while Tesla shareholders are actively suing him for breach of fiduciary duty..”

The rate of senior executives leaving (where Tesla is bragging about changing the World and what not…) is alarming.

These aren’t normal turnover rates.

Gigafactory Mexico (and all other vaporware GFs planned internationally) have been shelved indefinitely.

PS: I wouldn’t be surprised if Tesla shrinks the existing GF in Germany, since Tesla’s EV sales in Europe have been so poor since Q12025. Lots of overcapacity in Berlin.

And Tesla (or Elon Musk) probably didn’t anticipate LIDAR HW costs to fall so rapidly over the past decade.

He anticipated getting FSD done β€œsoon” back in 2016 already (when LIDAR HW costs were admittedly high.)

Musk sets impossible criteria - cameras can't do it all.

Director gets canned for failing to deliver the impossible.

Tesla's other problem is they are now a legacy manufacturer with a tail of outdated cars that they can't afford to update. No longer the disruptor.
