Either incredibly lucky/prescient or very smelly/corrupt. I suspect the latter.
Apple at 50. Fascinating book project:
βSo Samsung started out as a dried fish company, Nokia began as a paper mill. You know, Apple started out simplifying complex technology in order to sell it to the masses. And that is exactly what they still do.β

π¨ BREAKING: Tesla's "Unsupervised Robotaxis" (no safety drivers) were cut from 8 to 4.
Only 1 is in service while the others aren't operating.
"Supervised Robotaxis", with safety drivers had 14 crashes & are 4x less safe than humans.
Why launch the Cybercab if FSD isn't working properly?

To the "I didn't vote for this" folks. You voted for a convicted felon. A twice-impeached president. A man found liable for sexual abuse, who tried to overthrow an election. And now gas prices are surging, we're at war, and soldiers are coming home in coffins. This is what you voted for. All of it.
The sane people of the US have been saying the same thing since 2017.

These arenβt normal turnover rates.

Gigafactory Mexico (and all other vaporware GFs planned internationally) have been shelved indefinitely.
PS: I wouldnβt be surprised if Tesla shrinks the existing GF in Germany, since Teslaβs EV sales in Europe have been so poor since Q12025. Lots of overcapacity in Berlin.

βHesai's next-generation lidar product ATX for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) will be sold next year for under $200, half the price of the current AT128 model.β
$200 only!
PS: Chinese suppliers like Hesai still keep driving LIDAR prices down:

And Tesla (or Elon Musk) probably didnβt anticipate LIDAR HW costs to fall so rapidly over the past decade.
He anticipated getting FSD done βsoonβ back in 2016 already (when LIDAR HW costs were admittedly high.)
Musk sets impossible criteria - cameras can't do it all.
Director gets canned for failing to deliver the impossible.
Tesla's other problem is they are now a legacy manufacturer with a tail of outdated cars that they can't afford to update. No longer the disruptor.
True.
Sums it up:
