Strongly agree. I was lucky my folks kept some on video tape for me to experience at the right time (Breakfast Club was one!), some I experienced at the right time by chance (e.g. Mean Girls, in adulthood the Wayfarers series). I hate FBDO.

Our GPs committee in England has voted to REJECT the Government’s plans to impose changes to GP practice contracts.

We’re calling for the Govt to directly negotiate a new practice contract, as promised repeatedly by Secretary of State Wes Streeting. www.bma.org.uk/GPcontract @drkatie.bsky.social

We reiterate our call for a ceasefire and full respect of international humanitarian law and medical neutrality, and continue to stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian medical profession and people.

Since 2022, Ukraine’s health system has been systematically targeted, with over 2,800 documented attacks on healthcare workers, facilities, ambulances, and medical warehouses.

The GP committee in England has been in dispute with the Government since 1 October over its broken promises. On Thursday, the committee will scrutinise the detail of the new contract and decide next steps.
