Under FDR the Democratic Party once embraced strong social programs and was rewarded for it.
People like Zohran Mamdani are in that tradition.
The question isnβt whether his ideas are too radical, the question is whether the party still has the courage to fight for the people the way it used to.
So we need a new term - I like "Equitable Prosperity".
Focus on a fair economy that truly lifts and supports all, and the people will follow.
The policies are far from radical. Our most popular and successful programs - social security and medicare - are socialism.

It is dangerous theater because it is being performed by a man who is detached from reality, who believes that all of the world can be scripted by his little hands typing into a phone. And when the world does not follow his script, he does not reflect and learn but rather throws a petulant fit.
A truly great country knows its full history β this is strength. Denying that history is weakness and weakens that nation going forward.
A president who erases our history attacks our strength.
