I'll be creating a blacklist of people sharing bases against TOS and those who jumped on downloading them. You're not HELPING clients, you're HURTING them 👏

For anyone who isn't aware, the money that comes from their passive income helps goes toward refunds. Since 2022-2023, London's income has taken such a toll that they were unable to afford them. They've barely been making rent and bills. The recent ko-fi headshots have slowly begun to turn things around and make it more possible for them to stabilize things. This would mean that any additional sales from bases can go toward refunds. I made an agreement with London that I would help with them up until we got to some of the larger amounts ($200 and higher), because I'm on disability and a fixed income. I can't afford to continue giving more than I already have. If people continue sharing these bases, it makes it harder for us to continue giving refunds. I don't want to have to put a permanent halt on them. I want to give London the opportunity to both offer refunds monthly and deliver art that is owed, without having to worry about meeting their own needs or whether or not they'll be able to keep their home. We've been putting in the work, especially these last 11 months. If it makes you angry that these people are thwarting our efforts, all I can ask is this: 1) SPEAK UP. If you see this happening, speak up as a client. Let these people know that they're not helping you. They're actually making it harder for you to get what's owed. 2) REPORT THEM. If you're able to report the posts, then please do. And if you're not sure if we've seen them, please feel free to message me with any links to people sharing bases against TOS. We're looking into what we can do in order to take legal action, if necessary, as this is not only theft of intellectual property, but can be considered a loss of wages as well. 3) If you can see the efforts that we're making and want to help us continue making progress, please give your support to London. Either through the ko-fi Sketchbook Club, by purchasing things from their shop or simply by boosting their posts on social media.

Just a quick announcement that 1 of 2 partial refund payments has been issued c: The remaining half will be issued next month!

A quick summary of how commissions will be handled from now on. London will only take 1-2 small chibi Ko-fi doodles or customs (on base or quick, symmetrical designs), rather than large batches. The pricing will also be raised, to compensate for the work, so they don't need to take on so many in order to meet financial needs.

This got a little long-winded, I apologize! But I wanted to be sure to give a well thought out reply c: I hope this addresses your concerns. Please feel free to ask about anything else you may be wondering about! Thank you for your comments 🙏

TL;DR As London's manager, and the fact that I've been able to observe everything closely for the past 10 months, I'm pretty confident that I can accurately report what has and hasn't been working so far based on feedback we have received. I'd like to address what I feel needs to change to get things moving again that works for both London and their clients. In this assessment I discuss my observations, obstacles both London and I have run into, what is creating these cycles that need to be broken and the approach I'd like to share based on feedback from outside, professional parties.

Here's a preview of the large owed YCH commission that London is currently finalizing. All that's left is the foreground, lighting and final touch ups!

That being said, a pause on owed artwork will be scheduled once an official surgery date has been issued. As it stands, everything is still on course and will be completed for October and November 2025.

✦ There was a previous surgery date for November, but because the downtime for recovery is so extensive (4-6 weeks), they're rescheduling for a later date. They'll need the time to financially prepare for this period of time, since they won't be able to work either at their irl job or on any of ✦

Starting now until January, London will be making preparations for a major surgery. This month was full of the necessary pre-op appointments. There is an official diagnosis, which has led to their green light for surgery. ✦

You'd be surprised how many "fursonas" exist like this, who well known artist will draw for (knowing it's a ripoff of luxebytes). But they justify their hatred toward an artist. It only matters when it's someone they like getting stolen from 🙃
