It's not a coincidence that the Greenland bullshit happened immediately after Venezuela.

Pope Leo XIV’s Vatican newspaper is the only publication in the Western world to run the photograph of 150 Iranian girls' graves β€” killed in President Trump's military strikes β€” on its front page.

This. The β€œSave America Act” aims to nationalize voter purges using DHS’s centralized β€œSAVE” voter purge system, which is already plagued by security & accuracy systems, while simultaneously making it difficult for voters to re-register if they are wrongly purged, as Rs have a habit of doing. 1/

legit i think the most successful i have been at selling a ttrpg was when a random post about one of mine got a bunch of reblogs on tumblr. if you like something made by an independent creator (not even just ttrpgs! podcasts, webcomics, videos, whatever) you gotta be loud and annoying about it

As goofy as these losers are, it's essential that we remember they're literal mass murderers who retain their Nazi ideology and remain fully unrepentant.

Trump can say completely conflicting things in the same breath and appear to mean both of them because, for him, there is no truth.

As a malignant narcissist, his relationship with reality is entirely transactional.

Exactly the kind of excerpt-driven, context-less, reading for "literary features" that is increasingly being forced upon high school English students and their teachers!

One enduring global legacy of the Trump Administration is that it is now clear to every nation-state this side of the Vatican that they desperately need a nuclear weapons program.

There probably is an interesting story to do on the mayor's communication style and when he chooses short-form videos over more traditional and straightforward ways of talking to the public and getting information out there. This story ain't it.

One of the largest bulk expenditures was just for furniture, for which the Pentagon decided to shell out $225 million. That included $12,000 for fruit basket stands, and checks totaling more than $60,000 for Herman Miller recliners. All in all, the agency spent more on furniture in 2025 than it had in over a decade.

This is to say: if you're an attorney who's hesitated to take on habeas cases because you think you lack the knowledge, or you're worried about whether you'll really help, I PROMISE you can make a difference. I'm just a dipshit with a 7-year-old laptop and a bad attitude. If I can do it, so can you.

One of the excluded systematic reviews is the York systematic reviews commissioned as part of the Cass Review itself. NHS England excluded from its evidence review a systematic review produced for the very process this evidence review is supposed to implement. It's a joke.

Consider the Rattle In a state that still hosts grisly β€œrattlesnake roundups,” human Texans should learn to see something of themselves in their ancient, slithering kin.

"It would be easy, and not wholly incorrect, to call me a diamondback partisan. If I am, it’s because I like rattlesnakes as they are."

For @texasobserver.org, I wrote about the rattlesnakes I've known, including the one I (accidentally!) almost grabbed upon first moving back to Austin

Just walked by a colleague's classroom after my class finished and he was talking about Elvis, getting blank stares and so he had to ask "Does anyone know who Elvis Presley is?"

It's rough out here on these teaching streets.

The words coming out of Trump's mouth are 100% reactive, a reflection of what he believes will impress/pressure/deceive the people he's talking to. Again, the most useful comparison is an LLM trying to complete the prompt. He's doing autocomplete all the time, independent of truth or reality.

This is why I’ve said time and time again that working in comics as a creator full time is unsustainable. My quality of life immediately improved when I got a full-time job and only took on comics/freelance projects I wanted to take on and not taking all jobs out of necessity.
