The really outrageous thing here is that Spicy Nik-Naks were not the first choice.

Fairy Tale Ending, by Fear of the Forest 10 track album

There are only 22 left of the original CD pressing of this, the album I made with my 'punk baroque' band Fear of the Forest.
Today would be a good day to snap 'em up, it being #BandcanpFriday.
All sales help fund the release of the new album!

A sepia toned photograph looking down on to a street scene. A wide open expanse in the foreground with pedestrians and lamp posts liberally dispersed. A large building in the mid background with the facia Corbett’s Temperance Hotel between the various rows of windows. An advertisement hoarding attached to the roof of the building. A street leading off on the left of the photo and another on the right.

#PhotoFriday today is Corbett’s Temperance Hotel, Paradise Street. Opened in 1842 by Joseph Corbett as a boarding and coffee house. The hotel was demolished c.1888β€”89 to make way for the building of the Post Office. Ref: WPS Large Views #LibraryofBham #Brumpic

Do you remember that guy in the black teeshirt on the coach? His name is Trevor and he lives in Pontefract and keeps phoning me up. I've bought some black stilettoes and also the Tubeway Army LP which is really ace.

That's wonderful!
My vaguely similar anecdote is that I once visited the Topkapi Palace in the off season and the only other person in there was Ralph Fiennes.

There is circumstantial evidence that I may be related to Edgar Allan Poe.
(Yeah, yeah, "explains a lot", I know, don't start.)

Interesting. There are elements of this track that would probably have made me put it 5-6 years later.

Academics have two and only two speeds:
1. Can you review this manuscript by this afternoon?
Or
2. Sorry I missed your email in 2016 - do you still want to chat? #academia

It's a big yes to this from me.
Can't help comparing it to the UK, where it doesn't seem possible to get to the other end of the country for less than about Β£200; if your train isn't cancelled.

Looking forward to this at @soasuni.bsky.social in a couple of weeks. I'll be talking about Arabic poetry related to the Crusades, sharing some of my PhD research and discussing sonic/musical approaches to the poems.
May include performance! 🎢🎡

I wonder where all the other fencers are on here? I mean the modern sport of fencing as opposed to historical re-enactment. It doesn't seem to be big on BlueSky. Any fellow sabreurs out there?
