Historical Fact #3: Blackbeard's privateering experience is written in "General History of Pyrates."
In #AssassinsCreed IV Black Flag, the game had Edward Kenway & Blackbeard meeting as privateers during Queen Anne's War; hence, their strong bond in-game.

Fact #2: In history, when Blackbeard was confronted by Lt. Maynard, "A General History of the Pyrates" records him saying:“Damnation seize my soul if I give you quarters.”
After his death in #AssassinsCreed IV Black Flag, Edward tells Adewale: “He drinks damnation.”

So Historical Fact #1: In-game, Blackbeard corrects Edward that the Queen Anne’s Revenge carries 40 guns.
This comes from the 1724 book A General History of the Pyrates, which says he told ships the same.
