So weird! To scam me overβ¦ pottery?!? lol jokes on them, thereβs no black market value to my pots Iβm afraid π Scammers gonna scam I guess ?!?
One look at the email address & itβs like βok, otsitfluydktkdxezz@85hfuf.comβ πππ
Someone please tell me the angle of the scammers that email wanting to βpurchaseβ work (with a check no less) yet asking for details such as seen in these phishing scams. Just to waste my time? See how gullible I am? Will they propose a money transfer if I provide my account details? Disgusting.
Rock on Johnny!!
He is truly a gift to all who clay ! I use his 1216L recipe & have used digitalfire heavily as a resource for a while! Itβs wonderful π€©
Believe it or not, I might finally be dialed into this trick! Quad full cab (fakie 360 to coping) π achievement unlocked π
This is why I went through major hip surgery 5 years ago⦠to not stop doing what I love!
Perseverance pays. Never give up!
Same. Itβs like we canβt escape.
DM me about it π
Time to change my website payment processor to ANYTHING ELSE. Unfortunately my Squarespace tech friend tells me that their own branded processor still uses Stripe for payments on some level, they just donβt disclose that. This is what monopolies look like. We are in a new robber baron era.
Wellβ¦ as a renter this entire life I gotta say Iβm both confused & a bit dismayed but maybe a tad relieved ? Fuck my feelings π« This is a hellscape πΏ

I lived on Capitol Hill for a while in a building with a bunch of interns. They told me they tally ALL forms of contact on any given issue & it does make a difference. So I donβt think it matters: email vs phone call. It gets counted. In DC I had no representation- now I do. I use #resistbot #resist
For some hope in the madness, here are works of mine I salvaged and saved that survived the #Helene flood. I often think about everything floating up inside Marquee & how it became this weird muddy art soup mixing all our dreams and work together. We are stronger than destruction. We will overcome.
News got you down? Hereβs my adorable cat coming to your feed πΊ
Zuck the cuck
To clarify, I didnβt have neck pain at all. Looking down over time pinches nerves & cushioning between vertebra out, -> arm pain/weakness is the result. Manual therapy (ASTYM) did nothing. Strengthening didnβt get results. It took about 2 months of PT with one basic exercise. Better now! Good luckπ
I was in PT for arm pain presenting as tennis elbow. No success or improvement until the 3rd PT who, taking points from what didnβt work previously, started treating my neck. It was all coming from my neck from looking down all the time. We potters look down a lot! A simple exercise has been the fix
This is awesome
Itβs true though exactly how long it will take will also depend on funds. Super nice thing is theyβll be giving those of us who vended there dibs on our original spaces. So when we come back our customers will see us in our familiar spot π₯°
Now to decide if Iβll keep the same look or change π¦
This is in #quadskating a βfull cabβ attempt. A fakie (backwards) 360 landing on coping. The toe boost is a cheat, & ainβt the trick (but is cute).
I can do this landing on 1 foot, & 180 to 2, or 2 feet land then 180 to coping.
But airing & landing the 360 clean (& consistently) is the real trick!
I turn 50 this year. I started rollerskating in skate parks at age 40.
When I learned about I was bored with my regular skating & was inspired by others taking off, no longer bound to flat surfaces! It was so exciting & liberating!
Letβs see a #quadtrickoftheweek get going πΌ

Iβve had separate IG accounts 4 my 2 passions: pottery & rollerskating. FB was for more personal stuff. But tbh Iβve had enough people cross follow me, Iβve lost so many connections all over due to the algorithm, Iβve disliked everything so separateβ¦ so now
to INTEGRATE: to be keeping it wheel! πΌπΊπΈ
Anyone else stuck in functional freeze? I swear I shut down every January after the stress of the holiday season & w/ the stress of having to focus on taxes & financials. Iβm trying to do better at all this but this past show season was doozy here in flood-struck western NC π£ Iβm not even making rn
Welcome! Lots of us are here & more every day! Itβs so cool π
A Siamese chocolate point ragdoll kitty lounging on a cat tree hammock-shaped level that has a pet-safe electric heating pad on it. She is stretched out with her face towards the window & a view of my bird feeder and the mountains.
Another kitty image of her on her side, stretched with a paw out, her fluffy belly evident, & her ears barely visible through all the fluff.
My cat loving her new heated pet pad. Honestly I wish I had got this for her sooner!
Truly. The whole Foundy Street was my Mecca. It embodied everything a city should have: such unique art & culture. Itβs a wasteland now but I expect a glorious renaissance. I hold hope in my heart for the joy at seeing our beloved #riverartsdistrict restored & reborn π¦βπ₯
Omfg itβs a trash fire inside a clown car π

Exterior view of the flooded Asheville business Marquee, former home to over 300 artists & vintage dealers.
A view through a busted window into Level 42 a former glass studio which was gutted by the floodwaters Helene brought.
An exterior view of a wrecked windowed garage door on the Marquee warehouse. A mural including the Natas (a skateboarding pro design) black panther decorates the wall & is seeming to swipe at the debris
A view into the Marquee building: dark but you can see all the way through to the other side of this 50,000 square foot space. At the entrance a frame which looks like a movie poster has a spray painted eye weeping tears.
A couple of pics from my visit to my old retail venue of Marquee & favorite part of the River Arts District in Asheville. A lot of folks get sad here. I felt a passing wave of grief but mostly I just miss this place and still love it even when it looks this bad.
