Danke fürs sharen. Schrecklich, die Bezeichnung “biologistisches Medienereignis” trifft diese gefährliche Art der Geschichtsformung voll. Mit Berner Studis diskutieren wir gerade Marc Blochs “Götze Ursprung” und wir können (müssen) das “Colón-DNA”-Beispiel als aktuelles Exempel gleich einbauen…

Yes, I‘m also very interested in the actual data&what the study actually finds. From reading the digests it really sounds deeply problematic: „Spanish“ is a historical construct of this period, reading „Jewishness“ into genetic evidence…ufff ! That‘s sounds like… (1/2)

It‘s here 🙏🏼🤓 the latest issue of Werkstatt Geschichte 90: violence (hi)stories. How do we talk about everyday violence? Heartfelt thanks to my fab coeditor @mouseemperor.bsky.social and @sarahvha.bsky.social. It started with a long discussion about a text…we definitely need an ongoing discussion!
