It's parts for anything, really. My hubby fixes off road machines and a kit that he ordered to repair an engine head last week cost double what it did 2 years ago. Even something as simple as a DIY oil change is creeping up near $100.
Now I'm like "hey it turns out when your basic needs are met by your income you CAN save money for things like emergency car repairs!!! It wasn't a personal failing at all!!!

Boy, nothing like having a #procedure cancelled the day of the procedure after moving heaven & earth to make a #care plan for the 3 days following the procedure. All because someone didn't scroll all the way thru the doc's notes to see that cardiac clearance was needed. The wait for clearance? /1

Same. I drive a 2014 Acadia Denali and it has nice bonuses like seat warmers & coolers and all that jazz, but it has knobs for things like the radio volume & climate control & I'm not letting it go until it rusts to pieces or something.

I know you all are here for the life advice I give, so here’s some for a Saturday morning: if you get results from a lab for the tests your doctor sent you to do, don’t read them. Even if the lab sends them to you, don’t read them. You don’t know if ‘350’ is high or not. Let the doctor call you 😅
As a career #laboratorian, I cannot stress this enough. And please don't call the lab asking what your results mean, either. Even if we know, we aren't allowed to tell you.
If you're ever near Peru, you should check out Mr. Weenie. It's a really old drive-in hot dog stand. There is also the Ole Olsen Theater & Harvey Hinklemeyer's. Harvey's is an old pizza joint with really cool vintage decor 🙂
We used to eat at Hap's a lot. They had 2 locations in Logansport and they are both closed now ☹️☹️ I liked their special sauce on the Hap's Delight and the place was really cool. There were all kinds of tin signs hanging up & a train set always ran around the whole place just below the ceiling 💙💙
