A reminder that Nigel Farage, Kemi Badenoch and the entire Conservative-supporting press have spent the past week lambasting Keir Starmer for not joining the Iran war.
Here's what has happened since then to public opinion
Good.

Two points:
1. Theyβre not βexpatsβ theyβre βmigrants.β
2. Them abandoning their pets will hopefully give each and every one of these people just a little bit of insight into the incredibly hard decisions refugees have to make when theyβre fleeing war zones.
So far the war on Iran has cost $9.4 billion.
That's $1 billion per day.
$41,666,667 per hour.
$11,574 per second.
Thousands of lives lost.
People don't want this. They want a living wage. They want healthcare. They want to be able to afford a home. They want their basic needs met.
Part of my disgust and disdain for so many people in this country is that that they are so easily duped. All that fuck has to do is call some egregious bill the βSAVE AMERICAβ act and the stupids rush to vote against their own interests, while accusing us of not wanting to βsave Americaβ.

I like this cartoon so much we paid the New Yorker the fee it requested to include it in my book.
Weβve not even had the vote 100 years. Letβs not let thing backslide.

Of all the complaints against Starmer, the most absurd is that it's "weak" to have a Cabinet that doesn't just rubber-stamp what The Leader wants on questions of war & peace.
I'd take Cabinet govt - in which ministers kick the tyres of big decisions - over the kneel-and-obey model of Farage any day
...or just stop lying!!!
Just fascinating to see Blair, a man whose reputation was ruined by the Iraq war, advocate joining a war that is exponentially stupider and more chaotic. How is it possible to learn nothing from the worst mistake of your life?
The far right are working themselves up into a jihadist frenzy because our elected representatives have decided that it would be unwise to join an illegal imperialist war prompted by a demented president with serious cognitive impairment.
Thank goodness for Sir Keir.
What could possibly explain the intensity of Western interest, over the past century and more, in this region?
Can't admit their mistakes - so doomed to repeat them!!
Keir Starmer does not need Tony Blairβs advice on this matter.
I know you mentioned this article before, but itβs worth reposting the crap out of it today.

This is one result of the 7-year-long, Β£10 million Chilcot Inquiry: a comprehensive, detailed & crucial guide to avoiding another disastrous war like Iraq. You can understand why Tony Blair ignores its lessons, but every other warmonger in the UK?

Republicans are going to try to use Kristi Noem's firing to deflect from ICE's cruelty ahead of the midterms.
Don't let them. She didn't design the agenda. Stephen Miller and Donald Trump did.
Firing the face doesn't absolve the people who built the machine.
