Don’t forget to keep posting your Buckinghamshire Song Thrush and House Sparrow records on the sightings page - www.goingbirding.co.uk/bucks/birdne...
Unfortunately both species appear to be less numerous than they once were, so this year we would like to assess their current status.

Out looking for displaying Goshawk. Super surprised to see see a Marsh Harrier enjoying the thermals. Similar area to where the Berks/Bucks/Oxon Booted Eagle was a couple of years ago so this intially got the heart thumping! πŸ™‚ @bucksbirdclub81.bsky.social

Many thanks to Ed Griffiths for the BBC guided trip around BBOWT College Lake this morning. Considering the weather recently we were lucky to have a dry day. It was great seeing new faces, new members, new comers to birding and of course the Slavonian Grebe. 34# species

Great to see plenty of Brambling in the traditional Penn Wood roost on Friday. At least 25 in the trees by 15:45, and more birds coming in all the time.

@marlowbirder.bsky.social picked out a Caspian this evening at LMGP that we suspect is a return bird from 2023. A noticeably closed right eye and long bill seem to match. @bucksbirdclub81.bsky.social

Don’t forget to register for the RSPB Big Garden Bridwatch. A brilliant bit of citizen science that is a great way of getting friends family and neighbours involved in birds (spread the word!!).
