May OKCβs three pointers stay out all night
Letβs go Denver! #DENOKC
What was the last fun and exciting product you used? Or maybe an app? I genuinely canβt remember. #ChatGPT got me excited for a brief moment until I realized it lied to my face XD
Cartoon with a bell chart titled 'How developers see CSS'. At the bottom left, a figure of a smilng junior developer says 'CSS is awesome'. At the top center, a mid-level developer cries 'No! You should not use plain CSS! Use frameworks! TAILWIND!'. At the bottom right, a senior developer grins and says 'CSS is awesome'
The comic is a silly version I did of the bell curve meme, coded in HTML+CSS: comicss.art/comics/107/
In particular, an alternative that is hidden on the site but was shared on social media: comicss.art/comics/107/r...
Aaaah! I think Turbonegro wrote a song about him.

Imagine having to explain the importance of your job to an absolute overconfident, ignorant wannabe genius, that jumps to conclusions right away and has zero experience in your fieldβ¦
time to dig up the @adamkotsko.bsky.social tweet
Hahaha. Couldnβt have said it better π
New headline up:
βPerson quotes Orwell on Social Media and stops newly risen fascist american regime.β
Was macht dieser Arbeitslose da auf dem Plakat der FDP?
People really donβt understand what a fact and fact checking are anymore, do they? π
Sorry but the biggest myth in design systems and in digital products more broadly is that something is always better than nothing. βJust get it out there and we can iterateβ will be the death of me I swear tg
What a shit start π€¬ #gopackgo
I thought the onion used to be satire? π€
An interesting thing in pretty much anything you could possibly study, is that over-confident dipshits never want to do or talk about the boring stuff, the basic stuff.
They always want to jump right to the cutting edge, the most abstract and sexiest stuff.
the Meta logo except it says "Maga" and the infinity brandmark is red
oh shit new logo just dropped
This is a man so famous for making up promises that there's a website devoted exclusively to the ones he didn't deliver
Oh nice. The art was done by David Mack?
Picture of a kind of sad looking Bill Belichick.
But letβs bet real. Most content nowadays is either a copy of a copy from a copyβ¦or flat out stupid. This would be so boring as this would probably be my only βreactionβ
Sometimes I think: βFuck it! I am going to make money now by filming reaction videos for YouTube.β
Oh wow. I can barely read right now. Hoping it gets better during the vacation. π«
I am not here often since it is so quiet still. Occasionally checking βover thereβ and it is striking how different both platforms are. This here feels so peaceful. Quiet, but really peaceful.
Applying the model of progress β permission, leads me to thinking that βfeeding the beast firstβ might be a valid starting point to set the stage for more meaningful changes. It feels counter intuitive though and maybe the negotiation for more buy in should be first. Tougher to sell potentially.
... while the work in itself is getting more complex, because the design team often needs to re-calibrate their approach to work and collaboration to avoid ending up in chaos.
βGrowing Designβ is viewed from very different angles and its success is measured differently as well. Orgs often translate it to hiring more people, expecting more designers to enable them to βship fasterβ...
Thinking about the various challenges of βscaling designβ. Trying to wrap my head around how to navigate what teams outside of Design expect that to be (often while trying to undercut what needs to be done), what it really is and what needs to be done to scale effectively and sustainably.
Design Thinking being rooted in racism was not on my bingo card this year when it comes to hot takes on social media.
