Amol Rajan, a great fit. Such a refreshing broadcaster. Mind you, BBC Radio 4 Today is not the flagship it used to be - and I go back to Brian Redhead and John Timpson. Giants.
A great book by any measure. droppedthemoon.blogspot.com/2016/02/book... (Original cover). @mickeyundertone.bsky.social
Liam Beckett is #oldschool. One of Northern Irelandβs best-loved sports pundits, few can touch him when it comes to talking about #roadracing and #football.
Straight-talking, funny and generous, this book is pure #LiamBeckett β telling it like it is!

Lovely unexpected feedback on this collection of autobiographical poems.
The Spy Who Came in From the Cold. Going to see the stage play of this in May, starring Ralf Little. Thought I'd read the book to familiarise myself. Le Carre can have many layers to his yarns.
New Ireland's Own out today and I'm in it writing about The Great St Patrick's Day Flood of 1936 in Pittsburgh. Here's a link to the editor's letter. www.irelandsown.ie
One of my childhood heroes, Jay Silverheels, Tonto in The Lone Ranger, left us at 67 this day in 1980. Over 100 screen roles and a Hollywood Walk of Famer.
@mrjamesob.bsky.social and @simonmarksfsn.bsky.social What a combo. Such clarity. Whatever the antidote to bull droppings, there it is. Real actual journalism. π€©
I worked as a store manager for Asda 1995/2005, 5yrs as Asda, 5yrs as Walmart/Asda. I'd notions of keeping a diary of the acquisition and I found a file of cuttings/mags, like this Grocer from 1999. An exciting time, a buzz. Sad to see Asda now struggling. Maybe I can pitch a few articles......
The Man Who Never Was starring Clifton Webb, Gloria Graham and Stephen Boyd is on BBC2 this afternoon. #OperationMincemeat

Exciting news. Iβm heading across the pond for some book events. Check out these fantastic #FewAndFarBetween events in Scotland and England. All welcome.
(Nb will not be appearing at EIBF every night, thought Iβm not, in essence, opposed to this idea. Just waiting to confirm the date)
