It's a real bummer that due to complete and total mismanagement we're arguably the only legacy NASL team that was truly relevant and successful not playing in some form today.

It's great that FTL does again have a true pro club of its own, but still sad it's not in Red & Gold.

48 years ago today, April 9, 1977, pro soccer came to #FortLauderdale for the 1st time.

The @ftlstrikers.bsky.social defeated the St. Louis Stars 2-1 at Lockhart Stadium, & ever since Broward County has been the heart of soccer in southern Florida.

Today #FTLUTD carries on the legacy!
