They've done a lot over the years to streamline that initial experience.
But I guess the 'labor of love' aspect needs to reflect from the player as well ๐.

I wrote hours of period music using a variety of historically-accurate ensembles, produced live out of piecemeal recordings recorded in home studios during the height of the pandemic, and implemented with sophisticated branching interactive paths in FMod to support the narratively-focused gameplay. We won an Indiecade Award for Excellence in Audio Design, and garnered three G.A.N.G. Awards nominations.
