I'm grateful for the honor of being awarded the Visual Arts Fellowship from the Nevada Arts Council for 2025.

Thanks to writer Dan Ginn for including "Injection Site" in his review of "Conflicted" at Format25 Photography Festival, Derby, UK. He wrote "Alterwitz's work generated meaningful conversation" and that is my intention to create open dialogue.

Format International Photography Festival in Derby, UK. Final week to experience many exhibitions including Markeaton Street Gallery at University of Derby. In the series "Injection Site" I documented a visual trace of each person’s reaction to the vaccine using a thermal camera.

As part of this year’s international photography festival #FORMAT25, I exhibited "Injection Site." Along the photographs, there was a community board where people could answer the question "Why did you or did you not get the COVID19 vaccination."

“The Atomic Kid” is festured today in Lenscratch magazine! I really enjoyed writing about James Stanford‘s strong work about our nuclear landscape.

Looking back on the conference in Derby, UK at the Quad and exhibition opening at the Markeaton Street Gallery. I’m glad to have met so many interesting minds who share a passion for photography. Special thanks to Gemma, Jane and Phil for your leadership!

Artist conference FORMAT25, Derby, UK.
