stumbled across a woman on tiktok who films herself opening her daily Tiffins in India and I accidentally spent hours watching her videos. No regrets.
to be pedantic, every Labour MP will face the trigger ballot. That's the balloting of members and affiliates to see if a full contest should happen. Only three faced a full selection process.
Man: I'm supporting International Women's Day *posts picture of self*
Absolutely. A big problem I had is I didn't see the same health visitor twice. They didn't know me or my baby and I was just a tick box ๐ it's only because I am very tuned into changes in my mental health that I went to the doctor for postnatal depression.
have you considered a career in PR?
looks like they're committing crimes in Sandford for the greater good
*clears throat pedantically*
Not a shadow cabinet.
WHY would you ruin nachos with 'cheese sauce'. Melt some god damn grated mozzarella and/or cheddar or don't even try.
it's underrecognised how much persistent nausea absolutely fucks up the ability to do anything
No better way to spend Valentine's Day morning than at a mayoral trigger ballot meeting ๐นโฅ๏ธ
Relatable icon.
Excellent way to get me to ignore your email, Jackie.
we're taking the baby out to dinner with us. He's really loving the sound of his own voice lately. Loved up couples are going to hate us, if that helps?
this is incredible
Lots of people willing to push the Labour Party off the bridge without first checking to see if it's attached to a bungee cord.
Loved the first day of #JoCoxLeadership and I feel so lucky to be trained by such skilled and experienced women ๐น
I loathe the argument about raw votes because it doesn't matter. A capable political party works to win within the system they've got. That could deliberately result in fewer votes overall but more seats.
Caring only about vote share screams you don't know what you're talking about.
pleased to announce that I am not Keir Starmer's new chief of staff.
A generous assessment of all this is that Keir is relatively new to politics and maybe thinks he's above gossip and and scandal so he doesn't give it much weight.
A realistic assessment is there's no room for naivety or error when you're Prime Minister.
Me before looking at bluesky: Nah Keir isn't going anywhere for years
Me after looking at bluesky:
I spend less time on social media these days, and I thought that it might make me more in touch with 'normal people' but all it's actually done is make me miss crucial detail about current affairs that are important. Yeah it's a hivemind, but at least it has all the facts.
just found out that the phrase is "you've got another think coming" and NOT "you've got another thing coming".
My whole life is a lie.

We're calling on the Home Office to include social workers in the 5 year settlement route proposal, in line with other frontline, skilled public servants.

the important question
I LOVED Glow.
If Kemi Badenoch wasn't Leader of the Conservative Party, do we think she'd have defected to Reform by now?
Was the rule that made it so Mayors had to seek approval from NEC not agreed at conference? Is conference not delegates from CLPs, Societies, and Trade Unions?
Did we not know this rule? Was it kept under lock and key? Was it made up on the spot?
I'm being a bit of a knob but you get my point.
Interesting word, 'undemocratic'. People keep throwing it around.
Is Labour's NEC not made up of delegates from across the labour movement. Were those delegates not picked by members of their group? Was the committee that decided on Burnham's case not selected by the NEC?
The problem with knowing all the words to Hamilton and being a huge Ann Black fan is that I'm walking around singing "Ann Black's going hoooO-O-Ome"
