Iβm in my early 40βs with natural gray hair (Iβm lazy/cheap), a soccer mom of two feral boys, a wife of an awesome animator. This summer will mark 19 years in games for me, almost entirely in game production. π

Same! It's one of my current favorites π
Our troops are dying this isnβt a video game. The White House is posting so-called βhypeβ videos that mix real footage from the war in Iran with clips from movies and video games like Call of Duty. Itβs an absolute disgrace.

Hey board gamers - your feelings an opinions about games are being turned into slop.
There's a channel called Board Game Critique. All their videos are clearly made with AI. They fess up to this, but they claim that they write their own scripts.
I cannot definitively prove that they don't, but 1/x
Yeah. This brought up the memories and how pissed off I still am!
I hope weβre still collectively processing that AEG and the boardgaming consciousness draw the line at being pro-AI and lowering the value of game designersβ¦
But donβt draw the line at the insane levels of misogyny exhibited only 2 years ago?
Itβs wild to me he wasnβt booted to high hell soonerβ¦
On the surface, it sounds plausible, but if you think critically (ironically π ) it all breaks down.
Like, players are playing identically by each picking cards and tiles? Those are just the rules of the game!! People are all trying to choose components that give them more points? That's the definition of strategy!
Gross. The thing is if you listen with even half an ear the videos make no sense. As soon as AI gets into any level of technical detail, it falls apart. Twice in a row (Splendor and Azul) the video said players end up playing "identically." This is an impossibility in any game with randomization!!
Thanks Danny π
Haha I know right?! Every now and then I get a good one and use it for everything for the next 5 years π
Thanks Alan!
Thanks Gil! You should take some credit as one of the first people to ever playtest my first game & support my journey more than a decade ago π₯°
Thanks! π
Thank you!! π

Thanks Phil!
