This was a really lovely treat to happen upon while sitting here at home knitting. Knitting and singing along to Neil Young! Have loved him and his music from the beginning. Happy Birthday Neil ❤️

This may not be entirely fair but a reason I don’t think mayor Pete has It is because he polled zero percent among Black voters, the demographic which - can’t say this without sounding condescending but - usually gets it right, early, when it comes to candidates

I'm on Day #8 of 20 Bunnies in 20 Days. Art for Sanity- it's helping but anxiety is still a daily companion.

This one's for people who like the odd and the lunar.

Seeing an awful lot of people sick with Covid right now.

Many saying “Covid is back”.

It never left. That’s why some of us are still advocating for mitigations.

Every infection is a dice roll with disability.

Wear a mask. Clean the air. Stay home when sick.

Inside Colorado’s famous resort for Black Americans Colorado was once a beacon for members of the Harlem Renaissance and Black families from all over the country.

Black families from all over the country flocked to Colorado’s Lincoln Hills during Jim Crow, a safe place for them to gather and relax

Figures like Langston Hughes, Zora Neale Hurston, W.E.B DuBois & more would hold literary salons there during visits

Woman's arrest after miscarriage in Georgia draws fear and anger Experts say the arrest is part of a pattern of criminalizing pregnancy that has accelerated since the fall of Roe v. Wade.

On March 20 in rural Georgia, an ambulance responded to an early morning 911 call about an unconscious, bleeding woman at an apartment. When first responders arrived, they determined that she’d had a miscarriage. That was only the start of her ordeal.

When some people see a Black pilot or a woman astronaut, they think, “Oh, they aren’t qualified.”

When I see a Black pilot or a woman astronaut, I think, “Wow, they had to work their ass off twice as hard to get here —now that’s being more than qualified.”

Terrible news re: HIV intervention:

🔹️RFK's HHS is considering eliminating the CDC's HIV prevention division.

🔹️The division funds outbreak detection/response, prevention, syringe exchange, ER testing, & education. ~ 1 in 4 HIV diagnoses is made w/ CDC funds.
