Cuts proposed by Houston are more than just numbers on a budget sheet – they represent real impacts for everyday Nova Scotians.

When we cut these programs, we cut opportunities for youth engagement, community connection & sustainable transportation growth.

Hello! Bill 198 contains provisions that could raise the tax rate for landowners who choose to conserve their woodlots or participate in carbon markets. The government couldn't force woodlot owners to clearcut their land, but the bill could financially penalize them through higher taxes.

Now we must all be a voice for wildlife and nature.

With science being sidelined, expertise being eliminated and nature falling to the wayside, it's up to each of us to be the voice for wildlife and nature.

The EAC is deeply concerned about elements in Bill 198, the Financial Measures Act. Senior Wilderness Coordinator Raymond Plourde was interviewed on Maritime Noon yesterday about some of the potential repercussions for woodlot owners and private conservation.

Let's talk about the morality of the negative economic impact of Tim Houston's attack on Nova Scotia - Halifax Examiner There is a negative economic impact of cutting all the arts and social programs. It is real, and it is enormous, but Houston doesn't value it enough to even measure the loss of them.

"Choosing to decimate arts and cultural funding, equity programs...while letting big extractive industries run over the province without meaningful royalty payments is a political choice...." by @timbousquet.bsky.social www.halifaxexaminer.ca/morning-file... @ecologyaction.bsky.social
