Kim Gordon - PLAY ME
Yes please! I've been listening to a lot of Dragnet radio dramas recently so I'd be so up for it.
This site is a great #comics resource!
cannot stress enough that "separate the art from the artist" was meant for private individuals reconciling the art they love with its flawed creators and not meant for the ceo of a company driving a dump truck of money up to a bigot's front porch

Just a bunch of guys, hanging out.
JUDGE DREDD
HTLC isn't a news site but I would say that it's a true comic book resource, acting as a pipeline for new readers and those curious about comics to start reading and stay reading.
Also, I'd like to think long-time readers find value in it too.
Whether there's discourse going on or not, sometimes you've got to blow your own horn.
"In 2026, America's favourite teenager is living the dream."
Next on the site...
Which creator who's rusted onto CBE and BleedingKool started the discourse this time?
Sometimes you need to be the lady in red when everyone else is in tan.
Firefly was an okay show airing during a time when the bar was low.
Hollywood is really scraping the bottom of the barrel if they're bringing it back. They had 24 years to bring back a failed show. (Which also had a second chance movie.) Why now? It's creative bankruptcy.
The day after we put the final touches on issues #88-91 of βSwamp Thingβ, news broke about the passing of Tatjana Wood, the original colorist on the series. Tomorrow, March 2nd, would have been Tatjanaβs 100th birthday. Letβs raise a glass to one of comicsβ originals.
The past few Mondays I have been showing my wife The X-Files.
We just watched "The Jersey Devil" (SE1, EP5)

I swear this has something to do with ancient Rome.

Gorillaz dropped a new album this weekend. Here's your reminder that the visual side of the project, Jamie Hewlett, has a comics background.
He co-created Tank Girl and has done some really cool comics for @2000ad.bsky.social.

Gorillaz - The Mountain album cover.
Continuing into Saturday.
Gorillaz - The Mountain
I somehow missed the biggest release of the week.
After one listen: it's not bad. Nothing really stands out in the same way as when the group was in their prime. The song I enjoyed the most was the one with Sparks.
Bleach was this for me. Well, until the Aizen stuff finished up. I tried the filler arc that was after and kind of dropped off.
The one I had on DVD that I really digged was Gurren Lagann.
This hurts my brain so much as someone who works in marketing for their dayjob.
It doesn't matter what your discipline or project is, make it super easy for people to find and engage with it. Make it clear and have as few steps as possible.

Cootie Catcher - Something We All Got
Fun jangly indie rock with some interesting textures.
Post old memes to confuse young people

Landowner - Assumption
Rubber band-like punk (think The Damned meets Parquet Courts) that's slightly off kilter.
Atlantis Jazz Ensemble - Mystic Suite

Now for something completely different. A cool soul-jazz album. Heaps of groove making for some easy listening while I work.
Nothing - a short history of decay album cover.
Nothing - a short history of decay
I didn't enjoy this one as much as I hoped. The heavy shoegaze meet IDM drum beats was interesting but a lot of the softer moments didn't do much for me. Maybe it will grow with subsequent listens.
deathcrash - Somersaults album cover.
First up...
deathcrash - Somersaults
Slowcore adjacent rock from this London band. I'm really digging it.
It's Friday (In Australia) let's start listening to a bunch of new albums releases that dropped today πΆ
