I feel like it should be more widely unpopular that in the past year we’ve witnessed the creation of an American Stasi required to meet arrest quotas who utilize an AI technology created by a company run by a sweaty raisin of a billionaire who thinks Greta Thunberg is the antichrist.

Pay Utilitarienne using PayPal.Me Go to paypal.me/utilitarienne and type in the amount. Since it’s PayPal, it's easy and secure. Don’t have a PayPal account? No worries.

Hey, folks, one of my dearest friends who just lost their job recently owes the IRS $700. They feel really unsafe having their name/payment info online so i'm acting as their go-between; paypal is below, cashapp is $AdrienneLeigh. Put 'IRS' in the note and i will pass it to them directly.

Meme with four pictures, each on one corner

1st Picture, top left: An illustration of a person with a speech bubble saying "I just need to live through unprecedented times" with red pencil scribbled on their brain.

2nd Picture: An comic of a person laying in bed, looking a bit checked out. Over them is a thought bubble saying I just need to live through unprecedented times"

3rd Picture: The symbol for repeat, where there is text saying"live through unprecedented times" between each arrow.

4th Picture: The "are ya winning son" guy, a comic with a hat, saying "are u okay, bro?" walks into a room where most of it is scribbled with a black pen. In the corner of the image is a guy, also scribbled up, saying "yes I just need to live through unprecedented times".

Conceptualized this during a crashout with my friend who's deeper in the city and has also had enough of this shit.

Search-and-rescue crews were β€œflying blind” trying to rescue survivors from deadly tornadoes that hit the Midwest last week.

Why? Because Kristi Noem hadn't approved FEMA’s $200,000 contract with a tornado-tracking tool.

But she had time to spend $220 million on anti-immigrant ads. Priorities.

The strait of hormuz problem map "solved" by some AI bro by saying we should truck oil overland instead, but heavily edited.

At the start is a "boy." The strait of hormuz now represents the broken state of trans Healthcare. The overland route now has estrogen pills labeled "DIY hrt". The end point has a girl.

If you get mad at this, just know that there was no effort or thought put into this messaging and it deserves as much vitriol as that effort.

The American romance with Russia does not last. To pay for U.S. goods, the Soviets export wheat, manganese ore, pulpwood, and lumber. Soon U.S. producers complain that the Russians are flooding their markets. In July 1930 the Treasury bans Russian pulpwood as a product of slave labor. In February 1931, the ban is extended to Russian lumber.
Americans working in Russia quickly sour on Soviet life. Many of the engineers at the tractor plant in Stalingrad have brought wives and children.
In September 1930, the Americans demand to go home. They are fed up with cramped quarters, sickness, bad food, and the lack of things to buy.
In America, attitudes also sour. Congressman Hamilton Fish, Republican of New York, holds hearings on Communist influence, including the role of Amtorg Trading.

In the spring of 1931, Seattle Police and federal immigration agents raid the Communist hall, looking for illegal aliens. In March 1931, Governor Roland Hartley signs a bill requiring all public schoolteachers and university professors to sign loyalty oaths to the state and the federal government. In May, the University of Washington bans Communist speakers on campus. The following month, Amtorg Trading closes up and leaves town.

Single-celled organism with no brain is capable of Pavlovian learning A trumpet-shaped, single-celled organism seems able to predict one thing will follow another, hinting that such associative learning emerged long before multicellular nervous systems

This is an awesome discovery:
A single-celled organism with no brain called Stentor seems capable of Pavlovian learning. Yes, it can actually learn to associate two things despite having no neurons.

Bottom Panel: Shows a dramatic, low-angle shot of Kermit the Frog's silhouette as he walks forward, carrying a small bag. It is captioned: "Millennials coming to fix the computer."

worth remembering, David Lynch directed β€œfix your hearts or die” specifically at transphobes. it wasn’t a generic β€œno mean people allowed” statement, it was said by his Twin Peaks character in defense of a trans woman he cared for and deeply respected.
