My mother used to put cabbage (and kohlrabi) in her chicken noodle soup that was her take on my Hungarian grandmother’s version, which was - I think - to cook everything together but eat the veggies separate from the noodles and broth.

I wouldn’t hate that. When the family was over yesterday they were discussing trips they want us all to take together next year & one of the ones thrown out there was Portland (by Troy’s brother) but I think it ended up leaning toward Denver, Vegas, or Anaheim.

I know every climate has something that sucks but as a lifelong midwesterner, I am so deeply over this one. Ohio got snow about as bad as Wisconsin but the wind chills here are more severe more often. Done with ALL of it, even if it’s definitely not done with me.
