At one end my favourite woods slope down into a brook with a gentle stream and a public footpath on the other side. I can sit here amongst the undisturbed leaves, without anyone passing on the path below knowing I'm there (and naked!).

Low sun coming in from the top of the brook gave excellent light to highlight the shapes of the body. At this point I’d been nude in front of the camera someone I’d just met for two hours, a real early moment of liberation!

I dared walk the open centre of the field as my photographer friend snapped away. These first steps outdoors and clothes-free each year are always magical: trees still bare but the warmth of the sun returning to give life.

Out with a fellow photographer, we wandered right into the middle of a field where a huge tree had spectacularly fallen, now as bare as us both. Oh, and a busy canal path was easily in view some distance above us!

A well-known nude photographer on Flickr used to live just down the road, and he frequented these woods long before I discovered them. Here we both met up and snapped photos of each other totally naked for a wonderful couple of hours.

Definitely! Happy to play walk leader any time. Infact every year I think I should try to get a Peak group going, but it’s not my kind of strong point organising and meeting people and my own walks tend to be total spur of the moment.
Same, the one sensible precaution! That and SPF50 (may wash off today lol).
Wish I was closer to the NatRam walks, must be amazing having so many organised group walks. Though maybe today is pushing it.. umbrella? See-through poncho? (No that’s probably the worst feeling!)
It really is a beautiful feeling, when the temperature’s right!
Had absolutely no idea back then I’d be sharing these so widely. But knew I couldn’t wait to get started pushing things further for the second year. It’s been quite an adventure!
Still looking back to my first year, autumn was sweeping in. And you might see already that "the gate shot" has been a longtime theme for me too! Something about breaking down barriers perhaps? Or planting your bum on them.

The immediate intensity of the sun as it breaks into the sky at dawn is so truly invigorating. With no clothes on, you feel awake, alive, animal.

Being into naturism was never a secret from my boyfriend (soulmate) who I met right around the time I started to discover the joy of being nude outdoors. When I showed him this set of photos from the woods nearby I became “nature boy.”
