I don't pay attention to such things, but I'm suddenly noticing Chance The Rapper's face in advertisements for multiple products & services, incl (what I assume is) an A.I. &/or crypto rugpull. I know he got divorced, and this isn't his first spokesmanship, but it feels like a late career cash-in.
THIS is the take on LLMs and the job market. They can probably do some jobs, which will worsen millions of people's lives. But much more than that, people who don't understand your job will assume that it is worthless, even more than they already do.
I have mixed feelings on the merits of my demographic, but for a supposed icon of Generation X this is as unambigously Boomer a take as they come. There is the whining and egocentrism we always knew he was about, and then there is this gargantuan cancerous explosion of Main Character Syndrome.
