Labour is to blame for Scottish Council cuts to vital services. The Council Tax equivalent impact of Labour’s National Insurance hike is 13.2%. An equivalent council tax increase of 8.2% remains to be found from cuts to services, whilst the Scottish Government has been able to provide additional funding equivalent to 5% of Council Tax. Data source is COSLA, the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities.
