You can't make this up.

ICE left a 12-year-old completely abandoned on the street after abducting the adult he was with.

Today, I received a termination for my National Science Foundation CAREER Grant, which employed a post-doc and many undergraduate research assistants.

What DEI threatens isn’t merit. It’s monopoly. Political science professor Hakeem Jefferson argues for DEI's importance to de-monopolizing universities.

A colleague at Stanford’s business school used The Stanford Daily to argueβ€”poorlyβ€”against DEI. The piece was riddled with historical errors and left one searching for fact, so I broke my public writing hiatus to respond.

I hope you’ll read and share the piece.

Let me say this again:

If a president can illegally deport someone, conspire with that country’s leader to abandon them to human rights abuses, and face no consequences, we are in a hellish authoritarian moment. What a fucking evil, illiberal government this is.

Finally Harvard realizes capitulating will not save it from further demands. Every university needs to do the same.

Title: Both Liberal and Conservative Judges Rule Against Trump
Description: A scatter plot showing the rulings of judges against or in favor of Trump, categorized by ideology using the DIME score. The x-axis represents Judge Ideology (DIME Score), ranging from liberal (-1) to conservative (1), and the y-axis represents the case outcome (against or for Trump).
β€’	Blue dots represent liberal judges, purple dots represent moderate judges, and red dots represent conservative judges.
β€’	Some judges are labeled, including Rudolph Contreras, Lauren King, John Coughenour, and James Emanuel Boasberg on the liberal to moderate side, and Carl Nichols, Richard J. Leon, and Joseph N. Laplante on the conservative side.
β€’	A note mentions that Boasberg, though slightly right-leaning, was initially appointed by George W. Bush.
β€’	The visualization suggests that judges from both ideological backgrounds ruled against Trump.

1/🧡 Judges across ideological lines are ruling against Trump at strikingly similar rates (84% liberal, 86% centrist, 82% conservative). This isn't partisan opposition to Trumpβ€”it's the judiciary functioning as intended by cutting across partisan lines to uphold the Constitution.

In case you missed it, the day before Mahmoud Khalil’s detention by Ice none other than Shai Davidai tweeted at Rubio demanding his deportation.

And once he was apprehended, he felt these were legit β€œconsequences” for him protesting.

A faculty member @columbiauniversity.bsky.social the shameful.

UPDATEβ€”Mahmoud's attorney says they do NOT know where he is.
They were first told he was sent to an ICE facility in Elizabeth, NJ. But when his 8-month-pregnant wife tried to visit him, she was told he's not there.
They've received reports he may be sent as far away as Louisiana.

In modern history, what is the least popular that party leaders have ever been to their OWN voters? Second place was the GOP in 2009, where their net approval with Republican voters was only +6.

Currently Dems are -8, shattering all previous records.

β€œNot everyone in the Democratic Party disagrees with the arguments from, quote, the other side, when it comes to these issue. This is the thing about liberalism in this country. It often falls apart when race and identities are implicated.”

New 2024 data: Over 50% of GOP fundraising now comes from just 100 mega-donors.

Trump’s embrace of the billionaire classβ€”and their embrace of himβ€”will only supercharge this trend.

This second Trump administration is more emboldened than the first in pursuing a racist, white supremacist & nativist agenda.

This isn’t surprising. What’s disheartening is the sheer cowardice & complacency of so many institutions & elites in the face of this blatant attempt to turn back the clock.

Moderates in Dem Party may say this language loses elections, but my job is to tell the truth: Trump’s immigration policies are part of a racist, white supremacist project.

Fights over who belongs to β€œWe the people” have always been abt race. This time is no different.

Americans Have One Very Strange Cognitive Bias Or: How I learned to stop worrying and love The People.

The results were hilarious.

Muslim: 27%
Jewish: 30%
Black: 41%

Gay or lesbian: 30%
