Haha, well let us say that after the ring is destroyed, the book (in the edition I have) goes on for 85 pages (plus appendices of 102 pages). :p
But in those 85 pages is the scouring of the Shire (where Saruman takes control of the Shire), which was not in the films, so it keeps things moving. :)
Finished reading The Lord of the Rings, I can confirm it is a good read... But I assume that this is not a hot take. :p
That bunny was well read and athletic, an inspiration to all. To leave them caged would be to deprive the world of happiness, not just Rolo.
