134,760 homeless households are living in temporary accommodation in England, including 175,990 children (July-September 2025).
An increase of 3,570 children, equivalent to a child becoming homeless every 37 minutes during the last quarter.

The government's target of eliminating the unlawful use of B&Bs for families with children is achievable with ambition, leadership and practical planning.

The guidance is not strong enough. It needs to be more practical and enforce the basics households need to make their stay in TA bearable and workable (Fix the Five Basics campaign by @citizensuk.org @trustforlondon.bsky.social).
This is not expensive and can be implemented immediately.

I welcome the commitments made by the Government in the National Plan to End Homelessness, but the needs of neurodivergent children must be explicit in these measures
