Aww lovely. Also, love the shoes!
I remember being divebombed by terns on the Farnes....
I switched to that during covid. I figure R3 will still let me know of any earth-shattering stuff, but I don't need reminders every hr/half hr of the generally crappy state of things...
The Nationals museums are generally fairly healthily funded. The rest of the sector? Not so much
The Louvre? Probably suiitably healthy, but I understood the comments to be more widely aimed at museums and galleries and was pointing out the implications on less well funded places of those demands
With what budget exactly?
When do you propose l the jobs that can't be done with the public in are done?
Where's the money to hire staff.
Who is paying to film the collection? That all takes time and money too.
Nice!
@octopus.energy
Hoping you can help, I've had a message to say my tarrifs are about to come to and end, but I can't figure out how to indicate I want to continue in both? It doesn't give me the option in the apt to do it as far as I can tell (want to stay on the cosy and outgoing tarrifs I have)
Oh goodness yes, it's such an annoyance!
I feel a gauntlet has just been thrown...
Tad tricky to dress the mannequin with it mind, but the details are lovely.
That wedding dress was his daughters, who married into the Illingworths - another mill owning family. It was a double marriage with her brother marrying the sister of the groom....
We did it! Our cafΓ© is officially great for families! Cartwright Hallβs The Refreshment Room cafΓ¨ has achieved the @kidsinmuseums #FamilyCafΓ©Standard.
Find out more about the Family CafΓ© Standard and find a full list of accredited venues at kidsinmuseums.org.uk
For today's #OnlineArtExchange theme, Valentines and Palentines, we've been all about Music lately at our site Cliffe Castle's 'Season of Music', and they do say music is the food of love. So we really liked this one in the Harris! @artukdotorg.bsky.social
Oooh, you're here too adventurers! Excellent gif choice BTW...
Hee hee. (Also, yay, found you here!)
I deteste bananas too. I tolerate them only in smoothies and only in those when I can't actually taste them. Vile things.
Yeah, without at least a rough geographic area, no hope (and needs to be specific than the UK , considering number of crennalated buildings and castles)
The publishers, and various other people have set up charitable donations to children's charities. Unfortunately the Authors Estate royalties go to her asst who enabled the cover up...
Are there any other contextual clues to give a starting point? There's a few places with similar crennalations....
Shows a series of vehicles labelled as Van, (all one complete body), Truck (separate cab area, flat bed back), Lorry (Completely seperate cab, one with a back storage area permanently fixed, one, with a trailer attachment)
UK based - agree going with majority of respondents who say cab is significantly separate from the storage area, it's a lorry.
If all one frame, it's a Van. Pic below shows my rough delineation. Although ironically, @ work our 'van run' we do with collections etc, is in lorry by that definition.
bracing was it?
Keighley's is still a library!
Oooh pretty
I'm reminded of the video of the minion one @ Birmingham museums I think it was. Unicorn is intrinsically cooler though
I Managed a typo on the first one on the work account, so yeah, on brand!
I'm following this pack from this one and the work one....
*shudder *
Are we talking Barnsley level doll shenanigans?
I do agree with that logic!
