Here I'm just wondering how our office (HNX) has the same number of followers as Chicago and more than any Texas office.

In the last twenty-four hours, a powerful winter storm has dropped between 1 to 3 feet of snow in Sierra Nevada.
The heavy snow exacerbated conditions for dangerous avalanches, especially in the Lake Tahoe region where the heaviest snowfall occurred.

The sun came out for the first time in a week. Time to soak up as much vitamin D as I can get.
ND went 10-2 on the season and was invited to participate in one of the bowl games, but turned it down, ending their season. It feels like they didn't get their way and are now sulking as if they're too good for the "lesser bowls".
ND missed the cut of 12, so they can't play for the championship. Generally speaking, teams with a winning record in the regular season are invited to a post-season bowl game as somewhat of a reward for their season, and is the final game for those not in the playoffs.
Assuming this is about ND, they were on the "bubble" of making the playoffs w/ two other teams. If they made it in, they would be one of 12 teams eligible for the national championship. (Similar format to March Madness for basketball, just downsized.)
I love how ultimately today's results means that one year after the committee made it more difficult for a G5 team to get in, there will likely be TWO G5 teams in the playoff.
I've seen the sun a grand total of 20 minutes over the last week 🫠
I grabbed Wilson but it didn't matter a bit since of course Lamar would have his worst game of the season
The one time California has clouds 😑

Haha UNC is getting clobbered. I feel bad for whoever plays them next- oh...oh no...
It’s true the system has been neglected. But what system? Hiring? Yes, but we’re shedding employees. Infrastructure? Yes, but we’re not investing in it. Radar? Yes, but no investment. Future weather models? Yes, but again no investment. I’ve never seen operations devolve faster than the last 6 mos.
It's easy to say that both sides of an argument are valid when one side literally deletes all the evidence of the other side.
😡 don't look up...
It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me that at the same time we have strong fire wx conditions in the area, firework stands are beginning to pop up. Happened last year, and again now in arguably worse conditions. 🤷♂️
Me and my eight coworkers would beg to differ.
Today had me a bit worried earlier this week. RH 15-20% in the Sierra coupled with an inflow of tropical moisture from the SE. 100 hr fuels aren't quite as cured as the grasses in the area, but 2 days of sub 20% RH can do a lot. Hoping no fires for today as we'll have stronger gusts tomorrow.

While I'm sure much of this is a shared sentiment, I've tried to put my thoughts together on today's firings.
