1) Do new things.
2) Have more fun.
3) Be more present.
I struggle with the American West every year. Never feel like I have taught it well. Tried themes, gone back to chronological, just never seems to knit together.
Analysis of my Edexcel GCSE History class results shows that my least favourite topic (American West) was the most successful for my class 🤔
I shall now have to take to loving the cattle industry, the most pointless bit of history I have ever taught.
Like so many, I'm transitioning away from twitter and hoping to find a healthy community of educationalists to take ideas and inspiration from. Healthy critique is also welcome :-)
