C K Galloway writes stories about rebellion, transformation, and the cost of freedom. Flight of the Aura is her debut novel, born from eight years of learning the craft and asking questions like, "what if angels weren't the good guys?" When she's not writing about the distant future and political deities, she lives a quiet life, working at a rural Scottish farm shop, walking her Brittany Spaniel, and spending time with her family.

I've put my collective Christmas cash gifts towards perhaps my nerdiest yet book additions by ordering the completely out of print Centauri Dawn series by Michael Ely, based on Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. I'm not sure how many other people in the world would appreciate my excitement, but I'm happy!

Dipping my toes into starting a book podcast. Recorded a never-to-be-heard test episode on Pratchett's Eric tonight (which was an excellent excuse for a re-read). Now I have to learn how to use audio editing software!

I don't know why but "incredibly prolific" struck me as a bit of a back-handed compliment. I mean, it doesn't actually say whether his writing is any good, just that there's a lot of it!
For the record, he is also rather good as well as prolific!

Wordpress has added the ability to sync my ZealotScript posts directly to my BlueSky feed, so (if I've set it up correctly) they should start popping up on here soon. Good news for anyone that's interested. Bad news for any followers that like a clean news feed!

WORLD-FIRST: Ground-breaking research published today in the Ornithologist Journal has, for the first time, translated common UK bird vocalisations into equivalent phrases in the human language.
The results tell us a lot!

I run with my boy as well, but only the Junior Parkrun so far. As for the bookclub, I've been reading him the Lord of the Rings as a bedtime story for nearly a year so the indoctrination has begun!
Love the idea of the "running book club", but I'm too out breath to talk while running!
